Farrukh Iqbal

Dr. Farrukh Iqbal has over thirty two years of analytic and management experience in the World Bank across a diverse range of countries and sectors. He has worked on countries such as Korea, Philippines, Indonesia, China, Iran, Egypt, and the GCC. He has also published on various aspects of economic development including fiscal and monetary management, trade and competitiveness, poverty, small and medium enterprises and local government development. His recent analytic work concerns human development issues in the Middle East and North Africa region.

Dr. Iqbal previously held the position of Executive Director of Institute of Business Administration, Karachi. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and a PhD in Economics from Yale University.
