Sher Afghan Asad has a Ph.D. in Economics on Fulbright Scholarship from Iowa State University, and has worked on multiple research areas such as economic development of low and middle-income countries, economic inclusion of marginalized groups, and using behavioral insights to inform policy decisions. He has collaborated extensively with government and non-governmental counterparts. He is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Economics Department at Iowa State University, and was previously Assistant Professor at LUMS.
